Clever use of the materials at hand!
Inspired by the recent Daily WTF article, some colleagues of mine developed an ingenious solution to a server timeout problem.
A connection to a server would time out after 2 minutes of inactivity, to counteract this whilst an application was being installed they attached an optical mouse to a rotating fan to simulate movement. Genius!
So those fans aren’t only useful during particularly scorching summers then…
